Scale Systems

From a stand-alone scale to the most complete system for management reporting, no other system is so simple, yet so complete as TEC's SL-9000 Family of Scales. These scales combine user-friendliness and efficiency, with the Quality of a TEC Product. With this system, you can evolve from a simple, stand-alone scale to a multi-terminal MASTER-SATELLITE system. And for PC Communications, you can use the Traditional TEC TMCC Communications, or the "N" Models of the SL-9000 Family now have TCP/IP LAN Communication available.

Scale Management Software

TEC America has introduced Scale View, a Windows® Based Scale Management Software Application for Creating, and Maintaining your PLU, Ingredient, and Nutrition Facts Data.

Master/Satellite Communications

In-Store communication is possible through the High Speed Local Operating Network between the Master or Department Master scales at a speed of 78 kbps. utilizing the Echelon Technology for communication ease. Additionally, any or all scales may be connected to an In-Store Host computer or the In-Store P.O.S. processor.

Multi Range Weighing

High priced commodity items are weighed and priced at 10 times the normal resolution of retail scales due to the multi-range weighing function. Commodities are weighed at a resolution of 5/1000 from zero to 15 lb. and at a standard 1/100 resolution from 15 lb. to 30 lb.

Methods of Sale

Every PLU item is allowed to be selected for sale in one of three modes, either as a Weighed item, or as a By-Count item, or as a Fixed Price item. By-Count quantities are entered either into the internal scale data or varied at the point of sale by the operator selection.

Ingredient Printing

The TEC SL-9000 allows for programming up to 2,000 characters of ingredients for each Look-Up item as required by the Food and Drug administration guidelines. The text area may also be used to print any cooking instructions or special messages that the retailer feels is essential to merchandising the product.
